Here is an excerpt from book 1:

Yvette returns to sit down in the booth. “Hey Mack P. Don’t you look delicious.” She tells him giving him a seductive look jokingly. He and Monae laugh. “Hey Eve you look nice as well” he responds. He was used to her sense of humor and nothing she said seemed to shock him anymore. She was witty and outgoing, which he liked about her.

“What are you two love birds talking about?” she asks grinning. “I was telling Mack P about mom and that she is doing alright. She has about three more years and she can’t wait to come home. But she will be up for parole in a few months.” Monae states.

“I know I have to watch you Eve! Fighting in stores. Somebody has that video posted on a few social media websites. You won’t be tearing this club up.” Porter continues making them both laugh. “You are so silly” Monae says. Porter sees Deon coming their way and braces himself for the argument he was sure that he would hear.

“Hey Mack P. How you doing Monae? Yo Eve, can I speak with you real quick?” he says. Yvette rolls her eyes making Porter and Monae glance at each other looking awkward. They get up to go to the dance floor as Mary J. Blige’s “Love No Limit” comes on.

“Boy what do you want? Didn’t I tell you not to call me or talk to me right now?” Yvette advises coldly looking at Deon. Deon looks nervous. He ruined things with Yvette. He’s been calling her nonstop and leaving her messages. She isn’t answering his text or calls.

“Why you being like that Yvette? I love you, not Tavia.” He says getting frustrated. Yvette stood up so quick before she knew it she was up in his face.

“Don’t you ever say her name around me again. That hoe scared that’s why she is not working here. If I see that trick AGAIN I will whoop her ass AGAIN! You can bet that. I still have scratches on my neck. I had to put on make-up and shit!” Yvette scolds him.

Deon does not want to make her mad so he toned himself down before speaking.

“I’m just saying babe you won’t even talk to me. Listen to me. That baby is not mine. I only had sex with her a few times” Deon admits.

“Motherfucker it only takes one dame time to make a baby! I don’t want to talk about this shit. You are fucking up my vibe! I’m out chilling with my girl having a good time.” Yvette announces shooing him away walking to sit back on her side of the booth.

“Baby I just want to talk alright? Damn, how long you gone act this way Eve? I apologized many times.” Deon whines to Yvette still standing in front of the booth.

“I’m kicking it right now so just go on somewhere. I will act this way until I see a paternity test saying YOU are NOT the FATHER!” Yvette tells him meaning every word. She gets up walking past Deon heading to the dance floor.

Monae and Porter are hugged up cuddling by this time as the liquor was affecting their bloodstream. Monae is always horny when she drinks liquor. Even though she had sex with Benny once last week, he didn’t fill her need. She knew only one man that could…and that was Porter. She is on a mission to get in his bed tonight, which means she has to put aside any anger that she has.
